In less then three hours, Adam charmed my parents into believing that he was an honest, virtuous young man. In that same amount of time, my brother decided to trust him, despite his sadistic nature. And in those same three hours, Adam and the rest of the Four Lords met most of my friends, stole several hearts, and wrapped Boringsville around their fingers.

I swore vibrantly and plotted my revenge. Death was too good for him.

We were sitting in Xoi's basement, drinking cans of diet pop (except me, because I heard somewhere that the stuff they use to line cans can give you breast cancer.) The Four Lords flirted and my female friends clung to their every word. I was pretty sure that Yadi was the only one not affected by their combined charm, because Xoi kept turning red when Adam looked at her, and I suspected that Alli had fallen for all four of them.

Poor Phillip, on the other hand, one of the guys who regularly hung out in Xoi's basement reading history books, was in the most awkward of the situations, besides mine, of course. He was what you would call a "gagnet" or gay magnet. If there was a homo male in the area, he sought out Phillip and asked him for a date, even though Phillip was stright. Alex sat close to him, staring at him with wide, brown eyes as Phillip muttered insulting phrases in foreign languages at him. It was positively hilarious.

Adam sat down next to me on the couch. "From now on," He said, "I want you to call me master."

"No way in hell." I replied.

Adam tsk-ed. "No, now you should say "No way in hell, master.""

"I'll kill you." I warned.

Adam laughed. ""I'll kill you, master." Now, go get me some Perrier."

I stood up sharply, went to Xoi's fridge and found a bottle of Perrier that someone had left open so all the fizz had gone out. I poured it into a tall glass, spilling a little in my frustration, and shoved in into Adam's hands. "Enjoy." I told him sarcastically.

He tsk-ed again. ""Enjoy, master.""
