Even though we don't actually do anything at the mall, Xoi and I decided to go there again today. I was up for anything that involved avoiding Adam, but he followed me all the way there in his way too conspicuous car, wearing Edward Cullen style Ray Ban Wayfarer sunglasses. When Xoi saw them, I knew she was dying to just touch them. (She had a weird sunglasses fetish, and Ray Ban's were her favorite. When Edward wore them, it only increased tenfold.)

"Adam." I said in my sweetest voice as soon as we got into the mall. "Can I have your sunglasses?"

He whipped them off. "Sure, sweetheart." He handed them to me.

I took them and gave them to Xoi. "Have these." I told her.

She looked at Adam like he was a god. "Thanks." She managed to say before turning red.

Adam winked winningly at her and turned to me. "So this is where poor people buy their clothes." He mused. "How unsightly."

"Unsightly? Where do you get your clothes?"

"Paris." Adam turned slightly, so I could get a good look at his Christian Dior shirt and sweatshirt. "I can't even believe that I'm in public with people dressed like peasants."

"Peasants?" I repeated.

"I know." Adam said, not even listening to me. "I'll get you some new clothes. You want some, don't you, Xoi?"

She nodded, blushing.

And so the sadist found the most expensive looking store in the whole mall in a matter of seconds. "What are your sizes?"

"No way am I telling you." I snapped.

Adam grinned wickedly and put his hands around my waist and on my hips and shoulders. "OK, I've got them." He proceeded to purchase two elegant, yet stylish outfits, paid with a thousand dollar bill, and told the girl at the register to keep the change. The sapphire blue halter top he picked for me and the cream colored cami fit perfectly, and I had to wonder how many women he had felt up, to be able to determine sizes so accurately.

Xoi emerged from the changing room in a red top and short shorts. It looked great. Adam was just too good at this.

Adam bribed some of the makeup artists at Von Maur, we were given makeovers. When it was finished and I looked more like a girl than I had in a long time, Adam decided we were able to be seen.

"You know, little Ethan." Adam said as we walked through the mall, one arm around my shoulders, the other around Xoi's. "You're pretty cute when you don't dress like a boy. You should wear skirts more often."

I thought about telling him that I was only wearing the black miniskirt because I thought it was really cute and way over my budget, but I was afraid he would take it back if I said so.

After a while, Adam got bored with us and went to flirt with some girls who were eying him from inside Victoria's Secret. Then Xoi hung out in the food court until she had to go, and I, not wanting to wait for Adam, took the bus home instead of the Ferrari.
