I was dragging myself out of another PE class, exhausted and still bright red from the exercise, when I ran into Kellen (Mr. Bridge), the hot sub.

"Ethan." He said when he saw me, and, for a moment, I was glad that he remembered my name. Well, not really my name, but you know what I mean. "What happened to you?"

I shook my head, still unable to spare enough oxygen for speaking normally. I pointed back at the gym behind me.

"I see." Kellen chuckled. "I never did like physical education myself. Here," He took my heavy books from my arms. "Let me help."

"Thanks." I smiled up at him thankfully. I love gay guys.

But then I remembered, Kellen thought I was a guy, and he was gay. Are normal young and attractive teachers this nice to all students? Was it normal for a guy to help a guy? Was this something more than an innocent book carrying?

"Can I...um...have those back?" I gestured at my books in his arms.

"But you're exhausted. At least let me carry them to your next class for you."

How do you say 'no' to that? I will never know.

On our way through the empty hallways (class had already started) Kellen and I talked about the horrors of gym class and contretemps that occurred therein.

"And we were asked to line up," He was saying enthusiastically. "When I tripped over my shoelaces and fell into the most popular girl in the whole school. And when I tried to get up, my hand found a not-so-appropriate place to support myself. She slapped me, thinking I was a pervert or something. It was shortly after that when I came out of the closet."

I laughed. Though the story wasn't all that funny, Kellen had a way of talking that made everything he say just a little bit humorous. His facial expressions lit up his words and his voice inflection made me wonder if he had ever been on the debate team.

We arrived outside my classroom shortly thereafter, where Kellen write me a pass for being late and I walked into class, smiling. It wasn't everyday that a hot guy carried my stuff for me, even if this one was gay.

"Why are you grinning like an idiot?" Hans asked as I sat down beside him.

I shrugged. "Why not?"
