"Rise and shine, O great one." Cole woke me by pulling off the blankets, assaulting me with the cold air.

"I'm sleeping." I said, putting my face in the pillow.

"But if you don't wake up now, you could get negative health effects from sleeping in."

"What negative health effects?"

He shrugged. "Guess what, O great one."

"What?" I said angrily, climbing out of my bed. "And stop calling me such stupid things."

He ignored the last part, brandishing a newspaper like a sword. "I am no longer poor." He said with triumph. "Daddy's company went up again."

"That's great. Does this mean you'll stop being my personal slave?"

"Nope." Cole grinned. "Now I am free to wait upon my savior with all of my body and soul."

"No, thanks." I said, but despite my protest, Cole became my voluntary, totally devoted servant. For breakfast, I had tea, made by him, and eggs. (I hate eggs, but telling him that would have been so cruel.) Then he followed me around like a lost puppy, offering various services.

"I'm leaving." I erupted, very irritated. "I'm going to take a bath."

"Then let me help you. I can get those hard to reach places, like your back." Cole offered enthusiastically.

"Hey." Taki cut in. "If anyone is going to be scrubbing Ethan's back, it's going to be me."

"Who do you think you are? I'm Master Ethan's unworthy follower."

"Oh yeah?" Taki said. "Well, I'm his homosexual relationship on the side."

"What?!" Both Cole and I shouted at he same time.

"Never mind." Taki looked extremely embarrassed. "I'm going." And he walked away, his ears about the same shade of red as the Lakewood uniform.

"I'm leaving too." I announced, and went off in the opposite direction to the dorms.

For once, Cole didn't follow.
